I am very pleased to announce that the title of my first full-length poetry book will be Monochromatic. Featuring poetry from one of my previous collections, Overexposed, Monochromatic will be the largest collection I have ever written. The book will have over 200 poems, and many of them
have never been seen before. I've collaborated with one of my closest friends, Destiny Clark, on some of the poems featured in Monochromatic. I am so excited for you all to finally be able to read them! I've hand-drawn some of the illustrations featured in the book as well. Along with a very talented man named Rizky Nugraha. Thank you for your support, your love, loyalty, and friendship. I would not be where I am if it weren't for people like you.
so powerful. I've always put a purpose into my work. My main goal with any pieces that I have created is to make the reader feel emotions and find solace in the words. I want someone to feel like they're not alone in the aspect of whatever they may be going through in life. We all have periods in which we struggle. Sometimes we even want to give up. I want to show the world that giving up is not the answer. And that life does get better. It just takes a ton of effort and courage. I put more of myself in this book that I ever have in anything I've created. Monochromatic is so special to me, and I'm hoping that it's special to you as well.
I like to keep these posts short and to the point, so I am going to end this one by saying that I plan to have the book published early next year. As you read through the poems, you'll notice that there is a change of heart throughout the book. In the beginning, the poems are mostly dark, sad, and very emotional. But nearing the end of the book, the mood is a bit more hopeful and light. I've taken my time writing this book specifically for the reason that I want to show the world my mental transformation and how I got to where I am today. I'm not perfect, I still have my bad days, but I've climbed out of the darkness and you can too.
Stay tuned for more information on the making of Monochromatic.
