I've embarked on an amazing journey with writing Monochromatic. I've gained so much knowledge, I've made new friends, I've created so many new pieces, and so much more! While writing the new pieces, I've imagined these unique pieces of art to accompany them. Telling a story with words is already so powerful, but telling a story with an illustration makes it all much more interesting.
In the first installment of the Making Monochromatic, I briefly discussed working with a professional illustrator named Rizky Nugraha. His work is truly amazing and he's extremely talented. But I am also working with one of my high school best friends, Keeley Page, to create so many unique pieces of art. This friend of mine has made plenty of beautiful pieces, but digital illustrations are a new territory for her. I am so excited to be working with her. I plan to have a visual for almost every poem in the book. In fact, I've even created some of the illustrations myself throughout the late nights. I am so excited for you all to finally see and read the work that my team and I have been working hard to create!
*Illustrations are only available in Monochromatic Edition and will not be printed in Monochromatic Standard*
