Garettsharp.com was feeling a little cramped in it's small house. Starting today, it's moving into a new (much larger) home. I am so stoked to announce the brand new website design along with super exciting news for the future! I've been extremely hard at work for what's to come and I couldn't be happier to share updates along the way.
The New Website
Welcome to the brand new website. I have gathered a small team to help make this vision come true. Without your support, this wouldn't have been possible. So from the bottom of my heart, thank you!
Here's what's changed:
Completely new design (easy, simple, and comfortable)
User profiles & accounts (for commenting on news posts, interacting with others, and tracking your orders from the store)
A shiny new logo
New items in the store along with a simplified method of checking out
I am so excited to have you here and I hope you enjoy the new look. I'll keep you posted on any updates and changes.
Moving forward, I have decided to take a short break from recording spoken-word pieces. I'm doing this to focus on a huge project I'm working on (I'll tell you about that too). Creating any type of music or spoken word albums can be pricy and extremely time consuming. With that being said, I still plan on releasing new content. It will just be a while before I get back to recording.
I am (again) extremely excited to announce that I have a book coming later this year. I can't say much about it yet, but I can say that I am putting all of my previous poetry collections into one book along with tons of new poems. I'll let you all know more about the book soon, so stay tuned!
As some of you know, I recently released my first iOS exclusive app. It has become a special place for me to share my work and connect with my supporters closely. However, it began as a showcase for only my work. I've decided to open up the community and allow other users to share and create their own work as well. While this feature is already live, the app's purpose just isn't the same. The goal for the app is to create a safe place for others to share their work and interact with one another. With that being said, I will be updating the app to better-fit the community and take away the entire idea of a showcase. In the next few weeks, the Garett Sharp app will become the Online Library. The name change suits the community a bit more, and takes the focus off of just my work and adds the freedom to create for other users. As for those who don't own an a device that runs on iOS, there will soon be a website for the Online Library. This way, users can access the website from their computer or tablet.
